The implementation of the Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD) across all human medically important antimicrobials used in animal production will mean additional paperwork for veterinarians and feedlot producers.
This free mobile app from Zoetis will allow veterinarians to enter client information, pick the indication they are treating, enter information on the number and type of animals being treated and use a dosing calculator to help figure out the correct dosage.
The app records the veterinarian’s signature and then generates a PDF that can be emailed to the client and feed distributor.
The VFD is also saved in the account in case it needs to be renewed for the same client in the future.
